What a terrible day this was turning out to be. Whoever said that life is what you make it should be shot! No matter how much he tried to make things right, or be happy, Parker never felt any better. Life decided that it wanted to work against him and it pissed him off. He just wanted to cry. That was exactly what he was wearing the sun glasses for. Most people would probably assume it was because he was high or drunk because there was no sun to be seen today. Go figure.
Parker stomped through the courtyards on his way to class. He had just got done having a conversation with him. There was no need to say, or even think his name anymore. Things were done and he was going to be sure they stayed that way. No more of this playing nice and trying to beg and plead for what he wanted. Parker decided that he was either going to have it by taking it, or nobody was going to have it at all. If he had to make a few people's lives a little more difficult in the process, that was a price he was well prepared to pay.
He sat down and got back up from various places around the courtyard several times. Nothing felt comfortable or right. Big surprise there. All he ever did was drift from one place to another. Parker was beginning to regret even coming back. He didn't belong here and now he was sure of it. Things would be okay if he could only stick it out for a few more dismal months. Deep down, he knew that he was strong enough to handle it. The rest of them would all see. Parker James was not someone you wanted to cross like this.
Parker gritted his teeth and mentally threw stones against the brick wall in front of him. This was getting him nowhere. He took a seat at a bench across from a fountain and stewed in his thoughts. What was going to be his next course of action? Class would be starting in about fifteen minutes or so, but he was starting to think of other ideas. There had to be a better use of his time in order to get what he was after. Going to class sure wasn't going to accomplish that. All he needed was someone with a mind that was more sinister than his own. That should be easy to find around Winterthorne. He was considered one of the more goody-goody students of the school.
He folded his arms across his chest and stared straight ahead. This was the kind of time where he felt like seeing a woman. Something about the way they would treat him would bring him a lot more pleasure than the guys around here. Parker half wished that KJ would magically just appear in front of him. How he missed her so. Times had changed everything this year it seemed. No stone was left unturned and everyone seemed to be having serious issues. All he knew was that his moments of being weak and powerless were over, starting now. Parker was going to figure out exactly how to release his anger and what he needed to do in order to look out for himself. Everyone else seemed to be doing the same thing anymore. Nobody looked out for each other much these days. He was done doing the right thing for other people. The war begins today.
"You hear that God? I quit. Fucking cast me out already!"

&KJARA Do you know what it feels like? Loving someone that's in a rush to throw you away?
Ahh. Sweet silence. There was no one around and it was quiet outside. Students were out doing this and that and Kjara decided to stay back and relax now that she had the time. She didn’t have to go to class. Well, she was supposed to, but she was deciding on skipping today. She needed a break after all. The past few days she’s been stuck in her dorm studying like hell and today she wanted a break. She sat her pocket book under her bed (so no one would steal it, dirty thieves) and set out the door. She knew people would recognize her (duh) in her bright blue shirt and clicking heels, so with glee, Kjara opened up the window and let her body somewhat melt ands he became a bird. Fluttering her now spotted brown wings, KJ the bird took flight. It didn’t take long before she could see someone down in the courtyard. And with her raptor-like vision, it didn’t take anything to recognize who it was. And boy had it been a very, very long time since she’s seen this guy. If hawks could smile, she’d be smiling at the moment. But it was visible in her eyes. Veering down and towards the left, Kjara glided on the cool air for a few seconds before she land silently as an owl a few feet behind the angel. A small gust of wind only acknowledged that her body shifted back. She worse dark a dark pair of jeans, white stilettos, and a sapphire blue shirt made out of satin. Fingering the cross necklace, Kjara waited till he was done before she said anything. Kjara busted out laughing.
“From what I’ve heard, God doesn’t work that way , m’ dear.”
a small smile pulled at her lips as her thick Scandanavian accent filled the silence, while exposing her straight white teeth (and her sharp canines). Walking up to Parker with a click! click! click!, Kjara ran her hand along his tense shoulders. She rested her head on his shoulders, her brown eyes (contacts, since she’s had a few embarrassing moments where kids laughed at her for her eyes) searched the campus around them. “Sadly,” she began, “things don’t work out the way we want them. So just live with it.” grinning from ear to ear, she pulled away from her old friend/lover and sat beside him, shivering slightly as the wind blew on her shoulders and chest. This wasn’t the kind of clothes she should be wearing in GERMANY, but still. She liked this shirt and this was her first time wearing it. Plus, she wanted to feel pretty. She had her hair down in long waves, it’s golden color gleaming on occasion when the sun randomly poked out from behind the clouds. Her eyes had eyeliner and mascara lining them and her lashes, it’s color coal black and the shape like Egyptian eyeliner. Sitting her elbows on her knees, Kjara looked down at her hands. They were so small compared to the other kid’s hands. She was only five four. Short, built like a rock she was told, and capable of quick speed. But she looked fragile at the moment with her face angelic and her expression innocent. But we all knew that she wasn’t. Not in the slightest bit. Without looking at Parker, Kjara closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “It’s been a while, hasn’t it Parker James?” she turned her head slowly, looking over her shoulder at him as if she had a mischievous plan in mind. Brr. Did it just get colder in the courtyard? Parker bit his lip and looked up. There was a bird in the sky, but that was it. Something seemed different about this bird. He could have swore it was watching him. Now he really was thinking too much about KJ. They hadn't heard from each other in quite a while. It's not like she was a mind reader and knew that he wished to see her right now. He did miss her more than he expected.
Parker shivered slightly as a breeze caught hold of him. Germany really had shitty weather. Why on earth would he leave Italy for this? He shrugged and leaned back in his seat. HOLY SHIT! Where did that voice come from? There was no way he would ever mistake that voice. Now it was official. Parker was actually going insane. Hearing voices was not something you should fess up to unless you were a mind reader. He cringed and closed his eyes tight. The voice would have to leave him alone, right?
Wrong. Moments later he felt a hand brush against his shoulder. He squirmed in delight and beamed up at the person standing in front of her. "God is a really touchy subject right now." Parker's eyes caught her necklace and he paused. Since when did KJ have a cross necklace? Had it really been that long, or was he always missing this fact about her? He almost asked, but thought better of it. Fire rushed through his body as she laid her head on his shoulders. Parker's throat closed and he felt his heart accelerate while his breathing became more difficult. How could she still have this power over him? He took a deep breath and tried to relax.
Parker smiled as he wiggled out of his hoodie. He knew that KJ must be cold because she was wearing less than he was and he was freezing. "You look good. Good doesn't even do you justice." What he really wanted to say was how sexy she looked. He couldn't be more turned on right now. Here he was about ready to put small moves on someone he once was developing deep feelings for. Parker draped his hoodie around her shoulders, but left his arm hovering around it. This felt comfortable. KJ always did have a way of making him feel comfortable when most people would make him feel trapped.
I love your hair. He whispered in her ear while taking in the fragrance that lingered on his skin. Shit. This was probably not right, but he couldn't help it. She had some kind of power over him. They just complimented each other well. He liked to balance her out and she seemed to remind him what it felt like to live. Parker took a deep breath and just followed where his emotions were taking him. He leaned in to kiss KJ on the lips, but just before he reached them he paused to speak, "It has been entirely too long, Miss. Kjara Von Rael." Their lips met in a moment of desire and need, but emotion quickly followed.
Memories were starting to burn in his brain. The journal. The hospital. Their wishful thinking about running away together. Wow! He had suppressed those memories for so long now that he nearly forgot. He couldn't ignore them any longer. Parker dropped his arm from her shoulder to her waist and pulled her closer to him. They needed to be together right now. This felt right in every way. Not just because his arousal was pressed tightly against his pants right now. He pulled away and gasped for air. "Oh god! I missed you. Their brown eyes were locked on each other and there was a mixture of lust and emotion swimming in his eyes. She always could bring out the best [and worst] in him. This may be what he needed all along. Could this be their second chance at whatever they had going on before? Parker didn't think about it and just went with the flow of things for the first time in ages.

&KJARA My hearts crippled by the vein That I keep on closing

“God can fall off of his high horse and suck a dick for all I care.” She sneered slightly.
She watched as she took off his hoodie, and found herself staring at him. He always captivated her. He seemed so innocent, angelic, and gorgeous. But why? Why did he have to love a guy? Like all the other guys she was interested in…She slipped on his hoodie, relishing it’s warmth and smell as she smiled with a blush on her cheeks. “Thanks. It’s probably the first time in a while that I feel pretty.” when he began to pull away, she froze slightly. He didn’t pull his arm off of her. Raising an eyebrow, she began to question herself. What is he doing..? “Oh…” she ran her fingers through her wavy hair. She didn’t bother straightening it (except for her bangs) so it was just everywhere. His words which were whispered in her ear sent a chill down her spine, and bumps rose on her arms even with a hoodie on.
It’s been to long Miss. Kjara von Rael.’
She didn’t even have time to think, because Parker’s lips were on her. Fire instantly spread through out her body as his lips pressed against hers. Her heart was thundering in her chest, her mind was turning, and she was…confused. Why was he doing this? Why the sudden emotions? But she couldn’t help let her hands run up his neck and then her nails through his hair and scalp. Oh the memories that swam through her mind. The bathroom…the injuries. Kjara felt an emotional pain in her heart. All the things she’s done to him. The pain from physical and emotional. She’s hurt so many people. Daryl, Stefan, Parker, Sebastian…but…she knew how Parker felt about Fletcher. And Emma! Where’s Emma! When Parker pulled away from Kjara at last, she had to close her eyes for a few seconds to get her mind and body under control. She realized her hands were under his shirt, digging her nails into his skin. She didn’t even know they had gone up there! (naughty hands)
A small smile pulled at her lips. “I’ve missed you too darlin’.” she pressed her lips to his forehead as she realized his hands were on her hips. Suppressing a shudder, she bowed her head as she let her hands fall onto her lap. What was she doing? Didn’t she tell herself when she arrived that she wouldn’t even touch a guy again? She was going against her own word! KJ found herself thinking distantly about Daryl. Why he seemed to be on her mind so much. She knew he wasn’t coming back to the school. She told him to never come back. Depression swept through her body and it seemed as if her once happy smile was washed away. Why did she have to hurt him? Why did she have to tell him she hated him and didn’t want to see him again? Why is she such an idiot? Regaining her composure, Kjara looked up with a fake smile on her face. “So what th’ hell was that all about Parker?” she asked laughing slightly. Because, well, whatever it was, she liked it. And wanted more.

Parker chuckled when his friend knocked God. This would not be something he would have allowed a few months ago. Everything was different lately and he didn't agree with what was happening. Where was his God now? Sure, he wasn't the best person, and he sure was failing at being an angel, but he really didn't care right now. All he cared about right now was the girl sitting beside him. She had all of his attention and was quickly reclaiming a piece of his heart for a second time now.
"You should always feel pretty, Kjara. You are one the prettiest girl here. Parker was being honest. He honestly felt that she was the prettiest girl at this school. She probably would just dismiss his compliment. The thought made him feel bad. Maybe he wasn't as good at making people feel nice as he used to think. Kjara seemed to be lost in thought. There was a moment of fear pulsing through his veins. He was worried that she was going to pull away and slap him or something. Parker was able to relax when she told him that she missed him, too. In fact, it brought a huge smile to his face.
"I'm glad we are on the same page then. His words were flirty and his suddenly felt her hands on his chest. How had he missed that? It wasn't until she moved her hands to her lap that he noticed they were just embedded in his chest. There was slight discomfort that was masked by the pleasure he was experiencing moments before. Parker followed her hands with his eyes and frowned. Did she want him to stop being physical with her? They once had something that he thought could have been special. Maybe she just didn't think of him like that anymore? Quietly, he waited for her to speak again. He gave her a moment to sort out her thoughts. Both of them had a rough year this year at school. There was probably a lot going through her mind, too. Why had this year been so hard on everyone? What happened to the times when things were carefree and fun? Parker remembered a time when everyone got along much better than they did now. Was this just what growing up was really like? Life becomes full of impossible choices and everything gets complicated and messed up. He was beginning to think he didn't want any part of this kind of life. Kjara's voice broke through his thoughts and made his body grow tense for a moment. What did she mean exactly?
Parker took a breath in an attempt to settle his nerves. How would he answer her question? He knew that he would be honest because that was just who he was. There was always some truth to everything he said. God probably had some kind of monitor on what came out of his mouth or something twisted like that. "I must have gotten a bit carried away." He grinned and pulled her into his lap before speaking again. "I was just thinking about all the things we never got to experience before." Parker's gaze pierced hers and that familiar desire filled his eyes once more. Without thinking he brought his lips up to meet hers again in a wave of passion. Somewhere in the distance he heard waves crashing upon the shore....

&KJARA Wide open spaces far away All I want is the wind in my hair

“Ahhhh. No. I’m not.”
She ran her fingers through her hair nervously. Why did he think she was the prettiest girl in the school? She was still blushing though. “But…thanks.” a soft smile pulled at her lips. She wasn’t really used to all the compliments she had been receiving here lately. She’d have guys whistle at her while she was walking down the street to go get some coffee of whatnot. Sometimes, one would be brave and grab her on the ass (Which, they ended up in major pain), but it was still odd. Why did they want her? Because, well, she didn’t want them. She had hurt too many people since being in this damn school, so she didn’t want to keep on doing the same damn things over and over. She felt a sight pull at her lips, but didn’t even have time to say anything because Parker had pulled her into his lap and kissed her again. Overwhelmed by emotions for a hot second, she pressed her lips against his as she ran her hands down his shoulders and arms. She was becoming fully aware of the things around her. She was aware of Parker’s body pressed up against hers, her body trembling slightly in excitement. She felt the desire pulling at her. She tasted the lemon tea she had drank before she left on his lips. She saw his eyes, (when they were open). She heard their breathing, fast with excitement and thrill.
She saw, she felt, she tasted, she heard-
She heard a rustle of wings, a brush of feathers in the warm blue sky. Kjara jumped back with her eyes wide open. Gasping for breath, she scooted away from Parker until she fell off of the bench. She caught herself quickly as she saw a falcon flying overhead. That was enough for her. Instantly memories began to rush through her mind. Memories that she had tried so hard to fight back. She walked away from Parker, her hands holding her head tightly as she began to tremble. “I’m sorry P-Parker.” As she sat down on the fountains side, Kjara began to dwell on what had just happened. Parker was in love with Fletcher, so why was he kissing her? Parker had a child, named Emma. Where was she? Parker and Kjara had a thing. But Kjara was in love. She was still in love.
The rustle of wings had brought back memories. Memories she didn’t want to relive. Memories that she was hoping that would go away. That didn’t happen. But…you can’t get what you want. As her shakes began to disperse, she looked at Parker with tears in her eyes. “Where have you been?”

"You can't jump the track when the cars on the cable and life is like an hour glass glued to the table"
Parker had completely lost his ability to think rationally. He gasped as KJ pulled away from him. There was a frown plastered across his face. She looked so defeated right now. They may not have seen each other in a while, but he knew that look well enough. KJ just wasn't the type of person that was defeated so easily. Something must seriously be going on with her right now. His heart ached for the pain she was experiencing.
He jumped up and shouted out to her. "KJ! Wait! I'm - [pause] sorry." It killed him to see her hurting like this. What else could he really say right now? Sighing, he placed an arm around her slender body and pulled her in close. This time he avoided trying to kiss her or make any moves. Parker was still battling his desire, but KJ was his friend. She needed someone right now. Wrapping his arms tightly around her, he pulled her into a loving embrace. He laid his head on top of hers and quieted her like a father would quiet his child. "Shhhh! It's okay. You are safe here. I will protect you." A promise he felt he had made a thousand times before.
They sat there silently for a few minutes. He didn't quite have the right words, or answers for her. She wanted to know where he had been. That was simple enough. Everything went out of control a few months ago, so he took off with Emma to clear his head. Parker decided that he needed to leave his daughter in Italy for protection. Fletcher and Parker were in no place to raise her properly at the time and the other half of the equation was not to be accounted for. He was determined not to let Fletcher have the best of both worlds. Why should he have to sacrifice everything while Fletcher didn't have to give up anything. The thought alone made him stiffen with rage for a moment. He took a deep breath and reminded himself this was about Kjara and not him.
"You don't need to apologize. I have been in Italy. What else was he supposed to say? There was so much that he could say, but what was right at this time? Parker wasn't entirely sure what had happened to her these last few months. They lost touch only a month after Emma's birth. It was then that he remembered something. He reached into his pocket and fingered the precious gift that was in his pocket. KJ wanted him to leave it with Emma, but she was too little to keep track of it yet. Parker had carried it with him faithfully all this time. He brought it back from Italy with him. Now, maybe it would do some good to show her that he still had it. Distance didn't change anything.
"I want to show you something, Kjara." Parker retrieved a ring that hung from a chain and placed it around her neck. Sun rays reflected an engraving on the ring. The words "Emma" and "Promessa" were etched into the sides of the ring. He smiled and kissed her forehead. Somehow, he felt that seeing the ring would make a difference, even if it was a small one. Holding her close, he whispered into her ear with peace and love in his voice. "I still have it. Would you like it back for a little while? Parker was quiet for a moment before he continued, "I always kept it with me. It helped me through the hardest part in my life and guided me to my decision. Maybe it can help you, too." He rubbed her back with his free hand and didn't want to let go. There was a sense of safety and comfort between the two of them that he had not experienced before.
