JUST TAKE A BITE!let me shake up your world Drama. Just what Kaden needed more of. Not. He had enough drama surrounding his life. Everything with Evan (whom he still refused to talk to) not to mention his girlfriend, Xio. The girl that he didn't actually hate (though he did dislike her, but only because she hated him first) but provoked him. Then just...everything. There was so much shit going on his life that he had lost count of everything bad that had happened. That was the thing, though. He never got good drama (though he wouldn't know how to define that, anyways) it was always badbadbad. Stuff like the fact that he avoided Evan whenever he saw him, and when the other sophomore noticed, the boy's face would grow saddened, which made him feel bad. He felt like such an ass, but seeing Evan caused a twinge of sad inside him, along with a hint of the love that he had for the boy, though it was sorta slowly dwindling. And he knew that he wouldn't be able to be friends with Evan again until he got his feelings sorted out. Else more trouble would just happen. And he didn't think he'd be able to handle too much more shit. He might just die from all the drama. And he really didn’t want to die, at least not yet. Dying would not be a good thing. Especially since he’d be depressed that he died without restoring things with Evan. Even if it was his decision, mostly, to not talk to Evan anymore. He just knew that he couldn’t.
Groaning slightly, the werewolf ran a hand through his hair as he looked out over across the grounds. He was up on the rooftops for no particular reason. Okay, sure the place was technically restricted to students. They weren’t supposed to be on the roofs, but who obeyed the rules the teachers set in place anyways? Hardly anybody did, and they didn’t get in trouble, so why obey some stupid rule if you didn’t get in trouble for disobeying it? It was stupid to do such things, and only the goody-two shoe angels obeyed rules. That didn’t go for all the angels, just the goody-two-shoe ones that obeyed everything. And I mean everything. It was crazy what they did. They just needed to be lightened up some, and they’d be okay. But no. They were strict followers of any and all rules. If there were a rule that said something stupid like...I don’t know, but something stupid, they’d follow it. Actually, it would be a pretty funny prank to pull on them if they could manage to get the staff in on it or something. Maybe he should consider trying to do something like that. It’d be fun, he was sure.
The boy watched as the sky, washed with oranges, pinks, and reds, darkened. The oranges turning to red, to pinks, to purples, to the dark blues at the other end of the horizon, opposite of where the sun was sinking behind far away mountains and the trees of the forest. Kaden just sat there and watched the sun fall, dusk overtaking daytime, and night following soon after. Sighing, he stood up, long limbs stretching as he stood, getting all the creaks and pops out of his system. Hey, he had been sitting there for quite a while now, just thinking, staring out over the grounds and the view from the roofs. He could see a good decent amount of things around them from the rooftops, and see he did. Maybe he didn’t actually comprehend what he was looking at, probably too lost in thought to really think about it, but he saw it. Even if he probably wouldn’t remember seeing some such things when he woke up tomorrow. Or even later tonight.
He jumped off one of the edges to land easily on a ledge on the third floor, which was also how he managed to get his way up to the rooftops. Not many people could do it. Though there were several powers that could help one manage to get there. Teleportation, shape shifting (if you could shift into something that could fly), Flight, and super strength could all get someone there. He was tall enough to grab onto the edge of the roof, and his strength allowed him to pull and push himself up. There were other powers, of course, that could probably get someone up there, he just hadn’t thought of it. It didn’t matter, anyways. Point was, he was able to get up there thanks to super strength. Lucky him. At least he was able to, unlike some people. But little of this mattered. All that did matter was that he could get up and down from the rooftops, and could spend what time he wished up there. It was a good thinking spot, in any case. Very few people would think to look up there for someone.
Kaden didn’t really know where he was going, but it wasn’t back to his dorm. There wasn’t anything of interest there, he knew. For all he knew, Asher and Trenton could be back there doing something he would rather not think about. Oh, sure, he loved sex too, but it he wasn’t one to really think about others doing it. The only person he cared about doing it was himself. Repressing a shudder, he walked down to the ground floor before exiting the building again, heading towards the gates that separated the school from the surrounding fields that led the way down to the village. Closing the gate behind him, he followed the path that lead there, still no clue of where exactly he was going. He did that a lot recently, wandering around aimlessly, just going places without a thought of where he was going. He didn’t know why he did it, he just did. Maybe it was because he’d just been out of it of late. Perhaps when things got better, he’d go to places with a purpose, and not just because his feet took him there.
Today’s venture lead him to the entrance of the club. Blinking, he stepped into the line of those waiting to get in the club. Of course, the bouncer really didn’t care about the fact that he was underage (quite underage, being sixteen) and let him in anyways. It was another of those not obeying the rules deals. They didn’t get in trouble for letting even high school freshmen in the club, so why not just let them in? They’d get their way in whether or not it was allowed, anyways. As he stepped inside the club, he felt the thrum of the bass fill him, the drums reverberating through the room, encouraging the throng of people around the middle of the room, dancing to the beat and shit. More like just having sex on the dance floor, but hey, he wasn’t protesting. He might go out to dance later in the night, perhaps when he had a couple of drinks. If you asked him, that sounded pretty damn good at the moment.
Maneuvering his way around the room to the bar, dark eyes roved through the crowds of people, looking to see if there was anybody he knew among them. It was highly likely, since many of the students of Winterthorne came to the club on a generally regular basis. It didn’t even matter what day of week it was, they came to get drunk or whatever. It was basically just like another hang out place for them. Of course, it was more fun to hang there on a weekend, when there was more people around, but hey, whatever worked. There was usually plenty of people there even on a weekday night. Kaden finally arrived at the bar, and looked to see who happened to be tending it. With a frown, he noticed Jackson happened to be one of the bartenders tonight. Someone he didn’t really like, thanks to a game of Truth or Dare when he stupidly said truth when the other people playing had been Jackson, Tia, and Parker. Yeah, he had been on the receiving end of some angry looks. Not fun. Avoiding the area Jackson was working, the werewolf instead sat in front of one of the newer workers, this one a girl, and rather cute. Giving her a lazy grin, he winked at the girl. The sophomore watched with a smirk as a light blush covered the girl’s cheeks as she hurried to take someone else’s order. He leaned back, knowing she would come to him in time. It wasn’t like there hadn’t been girls bartending before. And he knew, by her blush, that she would come to him.
Obviously, it was to no surprise when the girl came back to take his order. Or perhaps even flirt a bit. Too bad he wasn’t too particularly interested. Sure, he was bi, and he did like girls too, but honestly? He preferred dick. Don’t ask why, because it’d be too troublesome to go into details. And you probably don’t want to know anyways. But it didn’t matter, the girl was pretty enough, but not interesting to him. He had other girls he found more interesting than her. Like Tia, or even Ada. But it didn’t matter, he had the girl here now, and that was all he cared about. ”A couple shots of vodka,” he stated simply. Nice way to start out the night, in any case. Just an appetizer, unless he was pulled off to the dance floor when he finished with the shots. Which he doubted, anyways. But he wouldn’t get into stronger drinks until later. Smirking lightly, a light smile touched his lips as the drink was placed before him. Downing one shot, he turned around, eyes looking over at the dance floor and the many bodies that moved there. Dark colored eyes scored the crowds once more for familiar faces. Twisting around, he grabbed the other shot before turning back towards the people, waiting to see if anybody he knew would appear. He was pretty sure they would, anyways, at least by the end of the night.

Cellophane flowers of yellow and green,Towering over your head.Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes,And she's gone. A typical night a Winterthorne may or may not include some Truth or Dare, drinking, Truth or Dare, sex, more drinking, Truth or Dare, fights, Truth or Dare, and very little sleep. That was typically before the older students discovered going off campus was much more fun. Now nights only sometimes included Truth or Dare, but there was more alcohol, dancing (or lack thereof), music, even more sex, and even more drama. The underclassmen were now left to retain the Truth or Dare legacy, poor things. Adalyn thanked god she was a senior, but was also thankful her brother was only a sophomore. Which in all honesty did not mean much, considering he was dating a senior, Adalyn's (best?) friend. The thought made her sigh, considering she had not seen the pair in god knows how long. She did not know if she deserved it or not, this solitude, but she was all too sick of it. Perhaps that was why she decided to screw it, get dressed up and head down to the club for a night. She head stories from Jackson of the groupies (usually for him), the drug deal upstairs who liked to act tough with the guys standing guard but was really a cool guy. Adalyn would know, she may or may not have fucked him in the bathroom.
It was not her fault though, they were both a little too drunk for anything else, and Adalyn still had a decent mind to remember that his thoughts of her, and only her, which made her feel special if only for a moment or two. Maybe that was her problem, the solitude and the feeling of being alone. She didn't know which was worse, both seeming to be equally bad for her. It made her realize she needed company pretty much every second of everyday. That seemed terrifying, but given the summer she had previously endured, it made sense. She was used to being needed, having to protect her brother from his demons. She spent so much time on her, she forgot her needs and wants and everything she needed in life. Her heart tugged at the thought.
Which just ended up reminding her of the Bell Tower incident, when Xio found her and she fled, not wanting someone that close to her to see her that vulnerable. It wasn't that she didn't trust Xio, but the last person to see her like that had been Evan, and look where that got her. No where, that was the answer we are looking for. She had not seen her brother since his breakdown, which meant he was too busy having sex with Xio to check up on her. And for some reason, she was okay with that. Not really, but she tried to tell herself that to make up for the lack of male figures in her life. It was shitty, but it was her. And besides, the rumors around school she would hear everyday were a little much, so she spied of Xio once, just to hear her thoughts, which ended up really not being such a good idea, because she had to hold back her vomit for a few minutes. It made her thankful her brother could not read minds either.
So, all those events led to here. She had spent a few hours locked in the bathroom, taking her time showering, doing her hair (which meant choosing a hair color), her makeup, and then actually getting dressed. The end result was red carpet worthy, a feat Adalyn was too proud of. It was the first time in forever she had gotten dressed in something other than sweats and a tank top. Looking in the mirror, she still saw the slight addressing of bags under her eyes, showing through slightly against the makeup that was covering them. She couldn't sleep, not with all her worries keeping her awake at night. She feared too much, she worried too much, she plain just thought too much these days. But tonight, tonight was different. Tonight marked a change of direction in her life. And sure, it might lead up to having sex in the bathroom again, but who cares? The point was to stop moping and start living. If her best friend and brother did not want her in their lives, then so be it. Sure, it hurt, but Adalyn could find a new best friend. Of course, she could never replace family, but there was Jackson, who was close enough to a brother, regardless of how odd he was. He seemed to care about her, which was more than enough for Adalyn in her current state.
All that led her to The Secret, club of choice for all veterans of Winterthorne and kids of the surrounding area who knew there was something odd about them but were too chicken to ask. Adalyn knew, the whole mind reading thing helped out in that department. She entered before the masses, a little under a hundred people occupying the space already. She'd been here enough times to know the number would grow much larger than that, which meant a wild time until the early hours of the morning. She was all for that. Looking towards the bar, she spotted the spiky hair of Jackson, who waved her over, shoving her drink of choice into her hand and kissing her cheek, waving off attempts of payment as he rushed over to help someone else. Maybe this is what was meant by having friends in high spaces. Or holy spaces. Adalyn was not for sure anymore.
The music in the club never failed to make anyone not dance. The beat was too inviting, the words too invigorating to just sit there all night. A few hours in she was already dancing with random people, mostly regular humans who took double and triple takes of her as they walked by. Numerous drinks had been pushed her way by a coy looking Jackson, who would drink them for her because that was just how awesome he was. Besides, he told her, the alcohol never affected him, so he didn't mind. She was too thankful, because most guys were too stupid in their drink choices. Her feet led her to the floor again, twisting and turning and grinding against random strangers. Escaping again, she leaned against the bar, waiting until Jackson came up to give her some water. It was crazy that he just knew, but she figured he worked there long enough to know how people worked. She grinned at him, before looking around at the rest of the people around the bar. She saw a few familiar faces, one that was hunched over shot glasses of vodka, one empty and one waiting. Her interest perked, and she made her way over, glaring at the guys who continued to stare. Sliding up along side of him, she simply waited for him to see her, taking a sip from her water bottle, moving along to the music. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ TAGS: kaden!TEMPLATE AND CREDITS: my own design. credit for lyrics goes to the original fab four, The BeatlesWORD COUNT: 1178OUTFIT: here

JUST TAKE A BITE!let me shake up your world The whole school thing was a rollercoaster of...well, everything. Drama, emotions, just...everything. Let's think about this for a second, though. A whole school filled with hormonal teenagers. Not to mention hormonal teenagers that had pretty freaking cool powers. Some could explode things. Some could shoot out acid at you. Heck, some people could change into a bird and fly. Or a dragon, even. So, of course there'd be a rollercoaster of all this crap happening in the school. There was drugs, sex, Truth or Dare, partying, and so much more that could be named. So yeah, pretty crazy life, eh? And he was stuck right in the middle of it. He had two years left of it. Two agonizing years. At least he was better off than the freshmen. Stupid freshmen. At the same time he hated it, he also was kind of glad he wasn't a senior, at least. He would probably miss the school after graduating. So, yeah. He was happy, and sad, at the same time for being a sophomore. You get the whole rollercoaster of emotions thing now?
Ending up at The Secret was pretty much the same at the school, though. At least in the things that caused those rollercoasters. There was partying, alcohol, and drugs. And, most likely, sex. At least somewhere, someone was having sex, whether or not they went to the school. So it wasn't like he was escaping it. At least not that much. But he was probably sure to have more fun, anyways. At least he believed so, which had to make it true, anyways.
There were some people that craved company. People that just needed someone (generally one they knew) around them at all times. It wasn't that they needed attention, they just hated not being around people, didn't like to be alone. Kaden wasn't that kind of person, but he knew people that were. And sometimes, people just liked being around people, whether or not they knew him. Which was kind of why he liked being the attention whore he was. Because he was the type that needed attention, generally. And oftentimes, he got it. He was loud, he was tall, and he loveloveloved bright colors. Which made him wear them, of course. All of those things demanded attention. Especially the height deal in large groups of people. Because, out of large groups, it was more likely he'd be seen over the shorter ones. Not to mention his bright clothing helped. Yeah, Kaden was a little attention whore, but damn, did he like being one.
It was funny how good he looked even though he hadn't originally planned coming to The Secret. Well, he thought he looked good, although obnoxiously bright colors adorned his body, so some might not like it was much as he did. But those people sucked anyways, so it didn't matter. He liked bright, obnoxious colors, and if someone else didn't like it, they could go get fucked. It might loosen them up a little bit. His pants were, of course, skinny jeans. The werewolf loved them. To him, they were comfortable. But instead of a normal blue color for the jeans, they were purple, definitely one of his favorite colors. His shirt was blue and black plaid, and the sleeves cut off 3/4 of the way down his arm, just below his elbow. Over the shirt was a white hoodie, interrupted by thin black lines. Okay, so he wasn't completely in bright colors. Just his shirt and pants. His feet, also, were in black and white vans. The hoodie and shoes probably showed the lack of preparation to come here. Normally, he'd probably wear something brighter.
Even as he approached the club, he felt the bass throb, marking out a low thrumming beat. Kaden loved music, for one. Most people did, of course, but he reallyreally loved it. Although he hadn't actually been listening to it a lot recently. Or maybe he had? He couldn't remember half the things he did in a day, really. Back to music. He loved it soso much. He himself could play bass, and do a little singing, though he preferred just playing. And he usually almost always had his iPod with him, at least one bud in an ear. Not lately, though, thinking too much to concentrate on music. Stupid world.
Kaden probably looked like one that went to the club all the time, the way he walked and moved around with familiarity, how he seemed to dance as he moved towards the bar, his efforts to get there flawless-like. The werewolf seemed to know his way around the people standing about. Know how they'd react and everything. Of course, it wasn't true. Sure, he'd been to the club several times, but there were always varying amounts of people, so it was different each time. And like hell he'd know how people would react as he squirmed his way in between them. For one, he didn't know the people well enough to know. For two, even if he did, they had alcohol in varying amounts that differed from other times, so they'd probably react different anyways.
The werewolf wasn't one of those people that sulked at the bar, drowning themselves in their drink of choice, hunched over the surface, trying to be invisible. No, he much preferred to look out over the crowds of people dancing. See who was there that he knew, possible, and who he might have a chance with. Turning to look over another section of the club, he noticed a familiar face. A smirk covered his lips as he downed the second shot, watching from the corner of his eye as the girl made her way over to him, water bottle grasped in her hands, extremely attractive in her little black dress. Setting the glass back down on the bar, he turned as she stopped to stand next to him. He slid an arm around her shoulders, pulling into an awkward half hug, noting, with a smug smirk, the looks of death some guys sent towards him. He was well aware how attractive Ada was, thank you. "Hey Ada!" he grinned down at her as he released her from the embrace. "How've you been? Haven't seen you in a while." It was true, too. Then again, he had kind of avoided people for a while. He could only hope, now, that she wouldn't be pissed at him about the whole Evan thing. It was a possibility, seeing as how she was Evan's older sister and all.
